Did you hear? The sun is out and everything is wonderful! We are drilling more oil domestically than anytime in the past 8 years so we don't need to drill anymore. The unemployment rate is dropping like a rock so that, in a year or so, it should be down to 3%. So, it seems, everyone is back to work! There is hope in the air and our wonderful president has saved us! Besides that, have you heard him sing?!!! The man can do any and everything! I want to have his baby!
Whew! Forget that part about having his baby because, as you all know, even the Anointed One cannot make that happen with a 60 year old fat, white man! But if you buy in to the story line of the main stream media these days you might believe the above drivel and more. They have their marching orders and the campaign to re-elect the Teleprompter-In-Chief is well underway. The story line now is that yes, it has been bad, but that's because of the mess Bush left for us to clean up. But things are looking up. Obama has his sea legs now and it doesn't make sense to changes horses at this crucial time. Besides, look how hapless the Republicans are. A crazy old codger (Paul), a MORMON (perish the thought!), and a social conservative. And we know Romney can't sing jazz so that sums it up. FOUR MORE YEARS!!!!
Okay, yes this may be a slight exaggeration but this is the undertone already being put out by the press. That means they are worried because the bias is usually later and not this strong 9 months before the election. The message is obvious: we want Obama and we will do what it takes to keep him. Their target is the "independent" voters. This is approximately 20% of the voters that generally are not involved, not informed, and spend more time in one day on Facebook than they do thinking about who will be the leader of the free world for the next 4 years. Many of them will vote only if it seems to be what everyone is doing and then only for the presidential election. Their decision is generally made at the last minute and could be heavily affected by the media bias toward Obama.
So what does the press do? They glorify these political dolts! They make it a virtue to be "undecided" and put groups of them on TV to attract their fellow dolts. Have you noticed that these group always have a bias toward the Democrat candidate and that the Republican leaners are either angry white men, white men that just returned from a coon hunt, or both? So these "independents" are glorified, praised for their deliberation, and given more than their 15 minutes of fame.
Hear's the deal. Unless your alien seed pod just opened up and you have been on earth only for about 10 minutes this should not even be a close call. I WOULD VOTE FOR A TREE STUMP BEFORE I WOULD VOTE FOR OBAMA!!!! That feels better. The fact is that there is more information available now than ever before. If it takes you more than 30 minutes to have sufficient information to make an intelligent decision then you really need to get off Facebook and work on your focus. Runaway government spending is the biggest threat to our national sovereignty. Remember how awful it was when the national debt hit $8 trillion under Bush? Where are we now? Ding, ding, ding! Try $16 trillion. Doubled in less than 4 years! Do you really believe it will go down during a second term with Obama? Don't forget, Obamacare really kicks in two years from now and we will blow through $20 trillion so fast you will think you are at the Bonneville Salt Flats. And what happens when interest rates go up. The rates we are experiencing now are historically low and should rise if the economy improves. How do we pay the increased interest payments on current debt, not to mention the additional trillion or two added each year? When do our lenders decide that the low rates we are paying are not sufficient and they tack a premium on? What do we do? These are real situations that could cripple our government. These damn politicians have not been held accountable for their spending and it's time we do!
I know you always hear how important this election is. This is no bull this time. We really need to have a turnover of these knuckleheads responsible for racking up the debt and get some people in there that will make serious cuts in government spending.
